Highlights of my career:

*	Winning the Guyana Prize for Literature for my first collection LIMBOLANDS in 2000
*	Winning a Leverhulme scholarship to research performance poetry in Barbados in 1999
*	Creating and organising the Inscribing Literature festival in East Kent 2002-4
*	Being Kent's Outstanding Adult Learner in 1994
*	Winning writing awards from Meridian TV, & Arts Councils & the TS Eliot from Kent University
*	Representing Kent in Europe as part of MUSE
*	Achieving a BA & MA as a mature student at Kent University
